Google Drawing

Last year, one of my best attended workshops was on using Pages to create worksheets like you see on Teachers Pay Teachers.  You can also make them on Google Drive by creating a Drawing.  This video gives you an introduction to get you started on playing.  Have fun.

Google Drive Organization

This video shares some tips for organizing your Google Drive.  It includes how to create folders, how to move documents from Shared With Me to My Drive, and how to star documents.  (Ignore the barking dog, there was a Chickadee on the porch.)  :)

The New Drive

You may have noticed advertisements for The New Drive when you open Google Drive.  It is worth taking a look at to see if you prefer the arrangement over the current Drive.  This video will give you a quick overview of where to find things in the New Google Drive and how to switch back and forth.

Changing Ownership of A Google Doc

If you were to win the lottery and leave the district, your gmail account would be closed which means any documents you created and shared in Google Drive would also go away.  You may have things your team uses or refers to that you wouldn't want to lose.  This video shows how to change the ownership of a document.

There are written directions here, if you prefer.

Introduction to I-Ready Reports and Diagnostic Assessment

Kim and I made this video clip to review how to get a class report and individual student reports.  Near the end of the video, we show how to add a diagnostic assessment back for a student who rushed.  There is a transition where I merged two videos so it might not be smooth.  Remember to see Kim if you have any questions!

Google Classroom for Teachers

Google has a great tool called Classroom.  You can use your students' gmail accounts to share assignments and make announcements.  Students can turn in assignments and you can track  who has completed them.

This is the first video and it shows you how to create a class and add an assignment.  There will be another video that shows how students see the assignment and turn it in.
