The New Drive
You may have noticed advertisements for The New Drive when you open Google Drive. It is worth taking a look at to see if you prefer the arrangement over the current Drive. This video will give you a quick overview of where to find things in the New Google Drive and how to switch back and forth.
Changing Ownership of A Google Doc
If you were to win the lottery and leave the district, your gmail account would be closed which means any documents you created and shared in Google Drive would also go away. You may have things your team uses or refers to that you wouldn't want to lose. This video shows how to change the ownership of a document.
There are written directions here, if you prefer.

Google Classroom for Teachers
Google has a great tool called Classroom. You can use your students' gmail accounts to share assignments and make announcements. Students can turn in assignments and you can track who has completed them.
This is the first video and it shows you how to create a class and add an assignment. There will be another video that shows how students see the assignment and turn it in.

Flipped Workshops
This year the district tech leaders will be using a flipped classroom approach to our workshops. I will post handouts, videos, and resources here for you to access. There won't be monthly workshops for you to sign up for, but instead I will let you know when I have added something new here. You can also follow this blog and get updates by email. As always, whenever you have a question let me know and we can work out a convenient time.
